Battle of Britain Commemoration
On Sunday 13 September 2015, 15 members attended the Jet Age Museum for the commemoration of the Battle of Britain. The morning included an opportunity to chat with members of 501 (County of Gloucester) Sqn, Royal Auxiliary Air Force and meet Min Lacey, the daughter of Ginger Lacey the famour 501 Squadron fighter pilot who attacked the Heinkel He 111 that bombed Buckingham Palace on the 13th September 1940. The commemoration was followed by Sunday lunch at the Aviator restaurant. Thanks to the generosity of those members attending the event, £15.75 was raised for Wings Appeal.
